Linear systems I (2011)

Office Hours: Talk to me after class or email me in order to set up an appointment.

Textbook:

  • K. Ogata, Ingeniería de Control Moderna, Prentice Hall, México, D.F., 2009.
  • Alan V. Oppenheim, Alan S. Willsky, S. Hamid, Signals and Systems, Second Edition, Prentice Hall, USA, 1999.
  • B.P. Lathi, Signal processing and linear systems, Oxford University Press, USA, 2000.

Course Objectives: The course will involve understanding the basic methods and theory related to linear systems. The procedure for analysis of a given problem from the control viewpoint is studied in deep. This introductoty course in linear systems considers the temporal analysis of linear systems, also the modeling of engineering systems is considered. Stability and basics of automatic control are also treated. A solid background in differential equations and Laplace transforms are presented in order to setup the course.
